Terms and Conditions
First payment

50% first payment is required before any commencement of work.
Date of Commencement

Once 50% payment has been made, a date will be provided as to when the work on the artwork is expected to commence.
Commencement of work

Client will provide all assets, including any references such as photographs or any additional images, before work can commence. Assets are to be provided at least 2 full days before the date of commencement. Commission will be cancelled if assets are not provided by the given time.
Cancellation by client

Work can be cancelled by the client up to 2 full days before date of commencement by client, and the 50% payment made will be refunded to the client.
Artwork style and use of reference

Artwork will be done in the style of the artist, and reference will be used for inspiration only. This means that poses, faces, etc may be similar to but not copies of the reference. The exception is if the copyrights of the model, photographer, buildings, items, animals, references, etc belong to the client. Then at the client request, closer referral to the references is possible.
Final product

Once artwork is finished, a 300 dpi and unwatermarked version of artwork will be given to client.
Feedback and revisions at sketch phase

Sketching will be sent to client for feedback or approval by email. Up to 3 free major revisions is available, after which client has to pay for further revisions at SGD50.00/ approx. USD37.40 per major revision that involves redrawing large portions of the sketch at this stage.
Approval of sketch, non-refundable balance 50% payment to be made

When the sketch is sent to Client for approval, Client can also choose to STOP the commission BEFORE payment of balance 50%.
If Client approves the sketch, Client makes further payment of the balance 50% which is non-refundable.
Sketch is not usable linework

The sketch provided to the client is by no means meant to be used as a product in itself and is for use to facilitate the commission process.
Feedback and revisions during greyscale and colouring phase

At the greyscale painting and colouring stage, feedback is given by the client and 2 free minor revisions (e.g. small colour changes) can be made. Additional minor changes are SGD25.00/approx. USD18.65 per change.
Major revisions (e.g. major pose changes or changes to composition etc…) cannot be made except and unless the client requests a new commission.
Extension of timeline due to revisions

For each request for additional revisions, an additional 1 week for major changes during the sketch phase, and 3 days for minor changes during the sketch and greyscale and colouring phase, will be added to the timeline. The artist may or may not take the full time extension to make the changes. Any such requests will be scheduled according to the artist’s availability.
Revisions amounting to a new commission

Any major revision or substantial change to the artwork during the greyscale or colouring stage will be considered a new commission with a completely new timeline, deadline and payments subject to artist availability, and the all the terms and conditions will apply to the new commission.
Timezone

Date and time will be according to the timezone of the artist’s country (Singapore) (GMT +8 or UTC +8).
Right to refuse commissions

Artist reserves the right to refuse taking on any commission for any purpose without giving a reason.
Right to cancel commission by artist

Artist has the right to cancel the commission at any time for any reason. If it is because of the artist’s personal reasons, the artist will refund the commission fees to the client.
Payment modes

Payment can be made by Paypal or Paynow.
Refunds for commissions only

No refunds for commissions will be given other than that stated in the terms written here. The refund process, if applicable, will be initiated within 1 week, but may take longer to complete depending on the payment processor used.
File types

Client will be given a choice of flattened version of file in tiff, jpg, png, bmp and/or pdf format. In all cases, working files like photoshop files (.psd) or illustrator files (.ai) will NOT be available.
Right to use artwork for promotion of Artist

Artist reserves the right to use artwork for portfolio, website, social media, books, or other media. Should client wish to keep the artwork private, please contact us with the request before commissioning artwork.
Other Artist rights

Artwork is for personal use by the client only. Artist reserves all other rights to the artwork, unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing. Should the client wish to use the artwork for commercial purposes (merchandise, for companies, any other ways of monetising the artwork), please contact us before commissioning artwork. A higher fee of 3x the personal artwork fee will apply. Artwork is NOT to be used for NFTs or ai training.
Process Timeline
Total duration of commission starting at commencement date is estimated to be 3 weeks to 1 month:

Client provides references and brief, and any preferences, such as pose and colours.

Artist confirms commission is accepted.

50% upfront first payment is made and a date is given for commencement. All references, photos, images, poses, colour choices as required by the client are to be provided by the client at least 2 full days before the commencement date or the commission is considered cancelled.

Sketching begins.

.
Client is shown sketch and client is allowed 3 free major revisions (includes complete redrawing of sketch) at this stage.
If the client wishes to make more revisions, client can purchase additional revisions.

Client approves of sketch, and makes the balance 50% payment to continue to the next phase.

.
Artist does greyscale painting with the sketch.

.
Client is shown rough greyscale painting.

.
Artist colours the greyscale painting.

.
Client can use a maximum of 2 free minor revisions for the greyscale and colouring phase.
If the revisions have been used up, client can purchase additional revisions.

Client is shown final artwork for approval.

After approval, client is given digital file in flattened tiff, jpg, png, bmp or pdf format. Artwork is final and no more changes will be made.

If the client has chosen to print their commissioned artwork, Artist will print the artwork and send it to the client. There is a minimum order of SGD 65.00/ approx. USD 48.55 for such prints, the number of prints varying with the size of prints ordered.
